Salibello & Broder Participates in the Walk to Save Babies
The Salibello & Broder team walked in its sixth annual March of Dimes March for Babies Walk on Sunday, April 25, 2010.
The walk raised money to support programs and research to prevent premature births, "the most serious prenatal health problem in our nation," according to the March of Dimes. According to the March of Dimes, in 2006, 1 in 8 babies were born preterm in New York and the number is increasing.
Since 2005, Salibello & Broder has raised more than $30,000 and we have been among the top 50 Manhattan teams in terms of funds raised for four years. Usha Subramanian, our top fundraiser last year, is actively reaching out to support the March of Dimes again this year.
"Raising funds for a great cause and walking with the Salibello & Broder family every year has been a fulfilling experience for me which I truly enjoy," she said.
The event began with breakfast at the starting point near Lincoln Center and the three mile walk took the team past some of the city's famous sites including Central Park and the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings. Refreshments were served at various checkpoints along the route. After the walk, the Salibello & Broder team enjoyed lunch at a restaurant in the Flatiron district.
It's not too late to support our team with a contribution. For more information and to join Salibello & Broder's team, please visit http://www.marchforbabies.org/.
